Heat pump heat is the heat source of choice in our region.
Heat pumps dollar for dollar in our region are the most efficient way of heating.
There are two ways of heat pump heating. Water cooled or air cooled. Water cooled if more commonly known as geothermal and air cooled heat pumps are known as unitary or conventional.
Heat pumps quite simply move heat from one area to another. To understand heat pump first let's explain air conditioning. An air conditioner takes the heat from within the home and relocates that heat to the exterior, leaving cooler indoor temperatures behind.
A heat pump does that exact same thing in reverse. A heat pump takes heat from the outside and relocates that heat to the interior of your home. This is why as a heat pump operates below 32 degrees it needs an auxiliary assistance to maintain the desired temperature inside the home because there is less and less heat to be obtained from the outdoors.
